This week was exhausting people wise---I think that emotionally people were feeling the negative waves broadcasting from our supposed leaders and like animals reacting to a coming tornado know the dark age is upon us---people were just all screwed up at work---this will be a sleep all weekend festival for me and therefore nothing to see here people, move along......
just make sure you have cash on hand and a full tank of gas prior to Tuesday the August second.

It is quite possible that the only reasonable thing left for me, is to become an Anarchist..

Anarchism is a political philosophy which considers the state undesirable, unnecessary, and harmful, and instead promotes a stateless society, oranarchy.[1][2] Anarchists seek to diminish or abolish authority in the conduct of human relations,

We are helpless before our Moron Overlords in Washington---and are entering the American Dark Age---We can no longer obtain a consensus that a problem exists obviously...thus how then can we solve anything? To me the biggest news this week was not the debt ceiling fight--that is just Moron business as usual---The real news was the economic information released on the true depth of the depression....this unspun information finally makes sense of things---we have suffered through unrealistic information on how great things are, how much better things are getting, blahblahblah----when the truth that we regular citizens understood----that things were shit....did not match up with what we were being told------the main question now based on the release of the true depression economic figures is----was this information purposefully held back, was this information on the true state of our economy contained by the government, bankers and wall street shits....to me the answer is of course yes.

Working, gardening, researching future projects this week. We in New Mexico shake our heads at State's declaring temperature emergency's in the east----a day here in Southern New Mexico at 114 degrees is called Tuesday.......

We are observers to what we have created, what we as as society encouraged in our leadership. Watching the deficit, budget crisis---this gladiatorial combat of the politically absurd must be what we, overall as a society wanted--- it would not be allowed to exist....if we as a people collectively did not accept it.

Although we the people now means we the people of Wal-Mart, who think and write at a 6th grade level....

I have been finishing, wrapping up, considering complete many of my ongoing personal projects. It is time to declare them done....I realized that as important as it is to plan, organize and work these projects it is equally important to know when they are complete...a simple concept but one i would often overlook when I am totally focused on a project...
In stating that these projects are complete it does not at all mean that they are put away----these completed projects are all in daily use...it simply means that I have acquired, built, modified, or thought through what i need and am now using this project to it's fullest capacity.... Every Day Carry, watches, knives, food supplies, alternative energy, gardening, homesteading------all these projects have been either completed or are one step away from being fulfilled......I also understand that in the back of my mind I am preparing for the next project---the jeep project and loose ends must be cleaned up, money saved, and information obtained prior to starting the used, retirement, adventure vehicle---I'll advise.

I've purchased my last chronograph---I have a thing for watches---but I have decided that with the purchase of this Casio G-Shock Pathfinder I have what I need....solar powered, atomic time set by radio signal, compass, sunrise and sunset time indicators, alarms every and anything I need on one watch....I am now done. Long ago, I had decided that rather than one very expensive watch I preferred having multiple cheaper watches for use dependent on my day to day circumstances and I have done this, I have now acquired what I need and the watch project is closed.
I am glad however that this particular watch closes out my project---it is wondrous......

Spent the last days of vacation completing and cleaning up the last of my personal taskings...back on the job tomorrow---but with that glow of accomplishment----we finally got some rain---my new rain collector blivets worked excellently---it appears as if I have about 500 gallons of water collected from just two short rainfalls which allows me a big sigh of survivalist relief....the garden is beautiful--and producing squash like it was worth something---I spent all of my two weeks off at the house working on projects so my gasoline usage for half a month was NOTHING-ZIP-ZERO---so bite me Dick Cheney you literally heartless bastard....

No progress on anything necessary by our leadership again this week....I do have to admit that I am proud of Obama for hanging tough for tax increases on the rich...It is the only way to put the brakes on our descent into third world nation status----but then again it may be too late for prevention-----The depression is going to last for 20 years and children today will know of no other way of life--I have decided to keep working past my retirement line---a shame because my retirement would create at least three new jobs in replacing me-----but that is a direct result of the Republican politicians and bankers fucking up our world---there are without a doubt hundreds of thousands like me hanging on because of the economic/cultural situtation---if we could, or felt positive toward retirement our leaving the workplace would create half a million new jobs---but that's not going to happen---I am betting we default....we have become too incompetent to do anything else......

I had made a pledge to myself that I would do art again once the nerd cave was rebuilt and reorganized---the tough thing was finding a small, all wood, drafting table to work on. I do a weird kind of precision drawing that requires this type of work table---The metal types available easily but wooden ones, they are more difficult to find and of course the more difficult is my choice-----my first attempt at buying a wooden drafting table from Amazon was a dud...the base came but no top which sort of defeats the purpose I would say----
When it became apparent that no top was coming I contacted Amazon and they were great about an instant refund and a subsequent search on their site turned up a drafting table that was actually more in line with what I wanted as compared to my original order---this is the smallest wooden drafting table I can find and it even comes with a matching wooden stool...which will come in handy on it's own in the nerd cave...so from small tragedies may come success---I hope?? It's not here yet ......

We've recently been reorganizing and eliminating clutter--- the cool thing about this horrible job is that you find hidden treasures you've misplaced....While living in an RV waiting to move into the homestead I did Sim Cities a lot on my old laptop...put away at some point i recently re-discovered it and have downloaded it onto my new laptop---I enjoyed building my own cities and creating societies---it was a tremendous amount of fun for me and I am looking forward it again.....even more so for it is new fun from an old cost---excellent!

I am very much looking forward to the 2011 prequel to John Carpenter's film THE THING...this new prequel film centers on what happened to the Norwegian base that discovered the Thing.
It's strange that I am so interested in this film because both this new film and John Carpenter's version of the original Howard Hawk film, The Thing from another World---violates my primary directive on alien movies---No taking over the bodies of humans---period--zip.
I feel that SF films that have aliens that take over human forms are shit. I like my alien films to have real, bizarre aliens and not something that looks exactly like us or your uncle Bob so that you have to figure out who is an Alien and who isn't---I believe that the Howard Hawk original film has something truly interesting and frightening--a real alien---James Arness...who wants to hang everybody upside down bleeding them dry to feed it's little offspring----so I have to admit that I was surprised that I enjoyed and still watch often John Carpenter's version of The Thing and that I am actually looking forward to the new prequel when it comes out on DVD....
Do yourself a real favor however and rent the excellent Howard Hawk original film---black and white, M1 carbines, Army Air Corp, a big, scary real alien and with scenes that still make you jump out of your seat....

I am coming to the end of my leave from work----In a few short days I will no longer own myself a loss that has come to pass all too soon. I am content with what I have accomplished over the past two weeks in considering this most recent time off--- sitting here in my nerd cave at this particular moment-- that won't last once I am back in the daily work system...

Corporate Netflicks is in for a very rude surprise. Netflicks recently announced price increase to six times the current fee is merely a normal, greed-filled, there is never enough profit, capitalist enterprise move. The problem is the days of screwing the American, cash cow public are over---Mired in this greatest depression we have nothing left to be screwed out of...I am killing our Netflicks accounts (I imagine I will not be alone with this)---The previous rate of video rental and program streaming for our two accounts at $16.00 a month was viable---with the newly announced price increase bringing our costs to $46.00 a month means they can go fuck themselves! The rulers of this company apparently feel that they have addicted the public to their service, and after eliminating the competition the time is now right to rape the consumer? The problem is that they do not understand they offer an unnecessary product...one that can be easily stripped from daily life...they fail to understand that there is nothing left to shake from the pockets of the average citizen of this country.... bankers, Republicans and corporate raiders have taken it all---good luck in Bankruptcy Netflicks---
as Carter Burke said in Aliens----"It was a bad call Ripley, a bad call."

A minor task I accomplished during this most recent leave event was one of those time consuming, small jobs that somehow consistently evaded me---collating all our emergency first aid supplies into a day pack which is now hung on the wall by the door of our supply shed---next to a fire extinguisher...... Building an emergency med kit I considered an absolute necessity for us but I just could never make it happen until now.
We still have containers full of standard use household medical back-up supplies, the kit I built is the best I can do with the emergency medical materials we have collected over time. This is a simple--- grab, help or bug out med kit for both household or survival emergencies..it just took time to construct----I am very happy over this small accomplishment.
