I decided to take a step towards the creation of power rather than the purchase of power. This step is definitely not a complete project, rather an initial movement towards the personal generation of power.--i cannot find anyone--any company---willing to sell or install solar systems in this area--the Internet for this purpose is useless--solar power seems to be in the twilight zone of no real construction/installation capability available at any price, or in any manner. I am unable to wait longer---i want to do my part and not just talk/plan about solar power---i had this feeling that the longer i waited the greater the possibility there will be that less will actually be available. There will probably be more scams--but less real equipment available--less installation capability and less real knowledge as time goes on.
Ordered a stop gap system off Amazon---i had previously jury rigged panels that i picked up on ebay, as cheap as humanly possible, as an experiment, wired together which produced maybe 10 watts of power total---just to see if i could manipulate the solar concept. This experiment was worthless for anything practical but i did learn something so---i just ordered a set of four panels with a pvc pipe, angled frame, support that produces 60 watts of power at a cost of $317.00 (shipping was free since i am on one click at amazon) Now 60 watts won't do alot--but it is a start and it is something i can put together, manage, and store power into batteries that i already have. It is doing something productive...something on my own against this exon/republican conspiracy..yes the panels are made in china---they definitely are not space station quality they produce way les than the power levels of the much more expensive panels-----but for me it is a start--i will as time goes on eventually find either a competent supplier/installer in my area or my learning curve will allow me to install superior panels on my own, at a later time----i'm tired of reading and planning, with the required subsequent doing nothing--i needed to do something--anything...that i can---Later if i can find--buy-or build a superior system for the house i will change this system over to charge a segway. The purchase of a segway will probably be the next thing that i am tired of talking about and will do---but the world is complicated and we will have to wait and see...
I am awaiting a new pair of terraplana sneakers--the escape model...I am an unabashed fan of terraplana shoes...manufactured of recycled materials which vary with each model of shoe they design-- terraplana's are sensible, cooly ugly and good for the planet. The weirdest thing is the response i get from people at work---terraplana's have become my sort of personal trademark. These shoes are either loved by those observing them or the head shaking begins...Terraplana's really match my new exterior design--i've really got this Dr. Brackish Okun thing going on lately--(OK I'll explain---the old hippie scientist in charge at area 51 in the movie Independence Day)---the biggest problem with terraplana is as specific items are recycled--such as old motorcycle tires run out of stock--terraplana changes their design to match the new material they are going to recycle into their shoes..so the model of shoes comes and goes...http://www.terraplana.com/
Some would take up arms against the blog commentary available at this link:http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/eight-reasons-youll-rejoice-we/story.aspx?guid=%7B82FCE1B0%2D1889%2D43B0%2DA465%2DE29BFEE95576%7D
The basic premise here is that gasoline at $6.00 to $8.00 a gallon is good for us as people and as a culture. There are several concepts i agree with--that $8.00 a gallon gasoline will bring our culture back to reality...and create by demand fiscal responsibility within our society...some good thoughts here once the average human bounces back from concept shock..another interesting blog commentary here:
delineates out what our nation could have accomplished with the money we have wasted in Iraq..without this incredibly stupid Bush war---supported by the redneck Jesus trailer vote we could have built a high speed mag-lev train system across the US-- gone to Mars repeatedly on multiple missions and on and on and on----but Nooooooo----against all recorded history, human memory, and logical thought process we allow the idiot to lead us to useless war and without a doubt subsequent bankruptcy...it is interesting to read what we could have done if we were not a society lead by and overrun with beavis and butthead thought concepts...the intelligent always get screwed in our society and damaged by watching stupidity win.

World Changing is one of my often visited sites and they have a great article on rehabbing micro houses to produce a small life footprint---which of course is what my wife and i are attempting to accomplish..it is great to find others share your goals and concepts..http://www.worldchanging.com/archives/008063.html
I still believe the world can be a great place--now more than ever with the technology available...that we all can have what we need---without violence, corruption, or ruining the planet...that all we really need to do is think more--think for ourselves rather than letting others think for us...thinking for ourselves is tough, takes time and can make your head hurt but it is important---you know---thinking, individually growing into good evolved humans that care--is our most important goal---it happens---but you have to look for it and recognize it when you see it---
last night i saw a guy walk across a large parking lot to help a stranger with putting a huge box in a very small car--
i was just pulling into the lot in my Prius--saw this and it just moved me...a side note was that the guy helping out was covered in tattoo's and piercings---"BRAVO FOR LIFE'S LITTLE IRONIES EH!"...forgive yourself....that's what I've been working on...and take care.

I've somewhat centered up--the world around me has not changed rather i have readdressed how i deal with it. i am ignoring the judgement by others feeling, it is still there--lurking in the background--ignoring a problem can be a solution. it's not pretending, it is controlling one's internal response to the exterior sphere.

Gaming--Lost Planet (not exactly a new release but new to me) Reading---Nowtopia by Chris Carlsson--watching: Vexville (now yet viewed, but i just got it, a new anime release)

None of the above material i've finished--so no reviews, i sit down and order material to feed the brain on a regular basis and often times it takes awhile for the opportunity to appear to catch up with material i receive. This is often the best time---- waiting to be able to leap into a new book--a new game--or a new anime when nothing but possibilities exist-without disappointments...I'll advise on these items as i play--read--watch my way along.

Gas prices--i told you so, i told you this was coming...$4.00 a gallon regular unleaded gasoline in new mexico, brought on by our cannibalistic capitalistic, Republican leadership who would sell our organs for a profit... our energy secretary--has done zero for the working guy---i did not even know his name (Samuel Bodman) until I read this article...shows you how active he has been.....he says high gas prices are not an emergency...no they are not---- when you are a rich, fat, old, gray haired white guy republican--- hell no it's not an emergency to this guy---he's rich! He probably plays golf with the Saudis and Exon guys carry their clubs---shiiiiit....just look at this guy--what a hero to lead us out of energy dependency on foreign supply...he probably does not know the difference between a hybrid and a hemorrhoid and does not care. Thanks again Bush.....
At least there are now one million Prius hybrids on the road now---Toyota broke the million made mark the other day...in my prius i averaged over 46.494 miles per gallon through 988 miles over 13 days of commuting and standard normal in town driving...this was during very, very windy conditions here in new mexico----thankfully Toyota thought about the future..we should elect the president of Toyota president of the US..
due to our situation i am mentally back into the segway mode---i desperately want to do something electric to travel and our government filled with mopes like the republican dork above have done nothing to help me---a segway is the only way i can think i can make something electric happen right now, before it's too late to prepare for the oil less future that is roaring down on us---so i am back into the segway desire zone again....i am tired of the merry go round with this, no applicable electric cars and difficulty justifying a segway....damn.....

please, please remember, think about the fact that the internet, blogging, underground culture, cooperatives, urban gardening, DIY, and left brain thinking is all we have left going for us. The other systems have purposefully failed us in pursuit of their own agenda..we are all we have left.

I've been undergoing a mental strangeness lately. Bear with me, like all internal weirdness, this is a minor thing to any in the outside world. Nothing extreme--like, hearing voices or believing that i was kidnapped by aliens and examined...it is just that lately i have had this creepy feeling that i am being judged by everyone around me...especially in public? I mean this feeling is fairly intense...and strangely consistent..I admit that i have suffered from this circumstance before but not to this level of intensity...I am chalking this up to the fact that i am growing my hair out and i look alot like Doc Brown in back to the future. It is true that a 56 year old guy who's attempting to grow hair long enough to put in a pony tail is unusual in this day and age...now i do have a full head of gray hair...i'm really, really wanting -----my hair looking strange right now to be the reason i've been feeling like this. Cause if it's not, i am stranger than i think i am---I can convince myself of this----maybe-----but it has been really, really weird time.
I got my Leningrad Cowboys cd 'Happy together' yesterday..I was painting today playing these guys (along with their backup singers, the Soviet Army Choir) and the entire Cd is simply excellent.... I found myself singing, dancing while painting---i believe that one has not truly lived until you've heard the Leningrad cowboys and the Soviet Army Choir doing--dancing in the streets---or the best cover version of tom jones's deliha in existence....amazing. So I of course immediately tried to order another of their CD's of one of their live concerts...and one of their movie posters for the nerd cave. The Leningrad Cowboys is now the central black hole of my musical universe right now--

Now why has this not been done--this would be the perfect work station--well especially for someone like me who has a set of social skills comparable to that of the unibomber...a cubicle hooch with semi-walls and a roof--..it even has skylight kinda things. What i really like is the way you can roll your chair in and out through the half-door..however like what's the social process to contact someone in there? Knock on the little half door? Trying to gain entry would cause a moment's---well--- vapor lock--the photo on the left is of the interior, very peaceful, you could actually get fooled into doing some work for a change...

The link below takes you to a very well written blog which describes Hilary Clinton as "the psycho girlfriend of the democratic party" as in she won't go away and leave us alone---she keeps calling and calling and showing up at odd hours, and calling---that strange, but perfect, parallel alone deserves a look... http://wilwheaton.typepad.com/wwdnbackup/2008/05/hillary-clinton.html
This is interesting--the next time airline pilots give you that 'we are ultimate professionals with nice grey hair and big watches' mention this story about: Naked airline pilot and naked stewardess run around in the local woods creating a scene and wind up in jail, upset the local community asking passing cars for underwear, miss the flight out the next day because of their $10,000 bond...yes, my life is in their hands and where have their hands been eh?????
http://www.pennlive.com/news/patriotnews/index.ssf?/base/news/1211252115282860.xml&coll=1&thispage=1 this is hysterical...as a last little item the US ranks 97 out of 140 countries for possible peacefulness...iceland is number one---the most peaceful country in the world.....Chile, Belarus, south Korea and Libya outrank us in peacefulness well maybe when we get rid of this Texas yahoo driving us we may move up a few notches and beat out Libya for peacefulness---it's a goal after all------

One of the under appreciated top five films to me of all times....is Knocked-up....great dialog, excellent weird personalities...a great take off on doctors, male bonding, men vs. women, how pink eye happens...and how you can change your life if you want to...one of the top five absolutely...

Ok that's it

A time of manifesting improvements to our home world is upon us:
painting the nerd cave--garage almost completed, flowers blooming, grass growing, house color matching privacy fencing going up, our little personal art colony is becoming! We have apparently entered a zone where things can get done and we're attempting to make this spatial anomaly last as long as possible or at least to take advantage of it as best as we can...this "stuff happening" activity zone leads to a much better mental condition as well---combined with 3 days off work this universe is now considered status---good!
I took the Prius in for it's 15,000 mile service--my mileage has been simply excellent...i have been consistently averaging in excess of 50 mpg for the past month..i usually wind up somewhere near 51.7 mpg on a total daily commute of 78 miles door to door per day...there is absolutely no doubt that gas will be $4.00 per gallon shortly..the price is rising so fast that i cannot accurately list a local gasoline price on this blog without it instantly being out of date..when even a prius driver notices higher expenses at the pump the world must be tremendously tough for those who've blindly followed the Bush belief system agenda----sitting in a no value MacMansion, with a SUV out front that now costs $160.00 to fill for 400 miles of range...Our society is undergoing a massive change... read this:
The second link below shows a definitive change---even republicans are finally wising up---only 23% of registered republicans believe that the economy is "good"----hah! Perhaps after hitting bottom with Bush the republicans are actually starting to think--

It is apparently a little known scientific law that clown car vagina's are incredibly active in the state of Arkansas(where else you know?)--apparently that family who has this completely bizarre TV show --which is like a reality zoo about trying to feed 17 kids--the woman is pregnant again!--I've seen the show about this abnormality once and my first thought was that if these people all were not from the same DNA this groupage would be considered a cult--God! How can you even keep their names straight? Plus what a pain in the ass for the older kids---on this T show they were like slaves to this baby machine---surrrrre they want to help out? If i was stuck in this fuck for Jesus crew i'd hitchhike out out of Arkansas as soon as i turned 9 or something--here's an article link in case you believe i'm lying:
http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D90I4TN00&show_article=1&catnum=0
Here is something just as stupid--in California they require a "loyalty oath" yes that's correct, a loyalty oath to be able to teach within any state system---The state routinely fires individuals who refuse---here's a link to a story on the latest firee---
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/columnone/la-me-oath2-2008may02,0,875150.story?page=1
you know where exactly are we headed as a culture? How can this in any way shape or form do anything?? A truly disloyal person would swear in a heartbeat--they'd be like "who cares" what a stupid concept---politicians take an oath of office and that really works doesn't it??? I can never truly comprehend how stupid we humans can be to allow something like this loyalty oath thing to go on?----ah well---for the last item on the quick link listing---one of my favorites--remember acme mail order in the wil-e-coyote cartoons? the forerunner of amazon where one could order up all types of miraculous items instantly such as the iron carrot, the planet destroying handgun, and the rocket powered unicycle...well here is an online visual dictionary of all acme products that have ever existed...very cool....
http://home.nc.rr.com/tuco/looney/acme/acme.html

as a last item---one of my top five, known only to people who get it, band's of all time THE LENINGRAD COWBOYS!----I finally broke down and ordered a copy of their CD "HAPPY TOGETHER" with the Russian Army choir--to fight hip hop, volume wise at stoplights...the world's best and strangest Finnish rock and roll band (which in fact may be all the same thing) backed by the big Russian army choir--doing sweet home alabama----man that's something--that's the rock and roll that ended the cold war!!!You just haven't lived until you've heard their version of i wish they all could be California girls-----
ok so be cool, read good things, be smart, do art, be strange.....
