Al Khwarizmi's Algebra

This week---Janet from the Blog, THE HOMESTEAD http://castraponere.com/homestead/
and my JoJo tried creating home made pasta and it was almost one of those headlines that would read--"Tragedy Strikes female Survivalists in secret Bunker kitchen"---apparently there was much pasta wrestling and not much production....

My work, well let's not discuss that..no recent work on the autonomous sentry gun, in fact no real work on any of the things that interest me..just work for money, sleep, work for money.

I haven't written of watches for a bit--truthfully nothing has sparked my fancy. That is  until prowling Amazon's watch section--I discovered this incredibly coolly nasty Croton, Mens, Chronomaster, chronograph in stainless steel. It appears as if Steampunk and Futurism collided in the watch factory and their mating produced this bizarre timekeeping specimen. According to the Amazon write up, it is big at 46mm in diameter, and of course I like big watches, the pricing is not bad at $99.00. There is something about this chronograph, some kind of 12 monkeys, Tank Girl, 5th element vibe that really, really appeals to me. I am watching this....

We are already picking and eating small early tomatoes, Japanese cucumbers, Zucchini and small amounts of broccoli. My JoJo is making a daily fresh flower arrangements and today picked a huge basket of Plums off the 3 year old backyard tree, for making jam-- although at 1828hrs it is still 108 degree's outside I believe our shade cloth and irrigation work in the spring is paying off. I am extremely pleased with our increased flower beds this year as well---there has to be beauty with practicality. Photo's soon I promise.

53.4 miles per gallon average for the week this week--tremendously happy and i could care that the price of gas has dropped--- I am keeping my cash out of the hands of the 1%----so get off my lawn.

Figures released this week by valid sources have proved that the middle class has "LOST"  20 years of earnings growth, savings, and investment in this decade. LOST is not the correct term, STOLEN, is the correct term. Your future was stolen...your money was stolen..Ivy league, bastard Republican politicians like Bush, their corrupt fraternity brother bankers, war mongering Psychopath neo-cons like Cheney and their lapdog wall street gamblers...they have stolen your life..Yet there is no roar from the crowd..this is no longer opinion---- it is fact--proven fact..Your children will wind up back in the Mills, working 12 hour days 6 days a week like my family did...Just where the rich wanted us.

Yet you are so slug like--so stupefied by spin doctors, Fox news, and the political advertisements of billionaire conservatives that instead of dragging the 1% out of their restaurants to the gallows---you merely shrug your shoulders if you even bothered to read the information. Meanwhile thieves like J. Dimon, whose JP Morgan Chase Bank recently lost, "somewhere" between 2 and 6 Billion dollars is treated like the prince that he is by a Senate Investigative committee, which of course seats 16 members who receive campaign donations from this man...Gee, thank God we are one of those honest nations--not like the bad guys out there in the world. Both the 1% and the 99% can go pound sand as far as I am concerned---

I resisted all the hunger games brooh-ha-ha. A friend lent me the book, and I was a reluctant reader---however i have to admit that it is an excellent, quick read, and well done. It does remind me of a Japanese Novel--Battle Royale--which was very eclectic---and based on the same concept--but as a quick--easy, involving read, Hunger games is not at all bad---I understand that many young females have now expressed an interest in archery because of the popularity of this book---this pleases me-----

Resupply time for the Everyday carry department of my existence. Just small items, needed or replacements. One new item--the below illustrated, one time use, handcuff key in a zipper pull. A hedged bet against the future Republican Party re-education camps...

A packet of 4 locking, plastic D-Rings- Grimlocks...excellent for organizing...one cannot have enough of these no matter what.

Then, an on-sale attempt to incorporate multiple, soon to be filled notebooks, into a singular. The ever present desire to organize--hopefully this cheap, small 3&1/4 inch by 6&1/4 inch planner will replace several notebooks in my EDC bag...

Viviani's Theorem

I have no answers for the past week--I do not even know what the question was---

There are times i am very proud of my adopted state, New Mexico..
Not always tho as a friend of mine aptly puts it---
"It's New Mexico---not New and Improved Mexico."
You have to go to the link below and read that one of our small towns, has the below pictured official town dog, Blue.
Blue refuses adoption living in front of the town hardware store. The locals have built him an air conditioned Dog house, he has a donated bank account of $1800.00 to provide medical upkeep..His job is to be the friendly dog for the community. Blue now has his own local lawyer, since an old lady in town is beefing that he is not on a leash....Blue will have his day in court...

Today, 06/07, was "take your kid to work day"...amazing--I was able to observe generations of the co-worker gene pool close up.

Take your kid to work day is supposed to be cute, well somehow, and of course, was probably, founded and instigated by those around the office who you hate without even thinking about them reproducing----the ones who are always doing pot lucks or saying prayers if someone is sick, those insufferably happy ones. I have absolutely no need to see examples of the result of these people's unskilled mating in the dark appearing in my office, picking it's nose.

Twice daily on my commute i pass by 5 HUGE..Dairy feedlots. These things are massive--and New Mexico has many of them...my question is how can you eat or drink ANYTHING that comes out of a FOUL, STENCH RIDDEN SHIT HOLE like this?? I really cannot remember the last time i drank a glass of milk but I know for sure it was before this foul system of processing was developed.

These animals are living deep within their own shit--hardly moving with no place to lie except in their own shit..they give birth in their own shit and you eat and drink from an animal contaminated like this?

The STENCH driving just driving by, even with the Prius sealed up  like a nuclear submarine, is literally gagging-- makes you almost puke up...People here involved in this horrible process will say "heh heh smells like money to me"
Complete idiots--yeah right, your house smells like money, your old lady smells like money and your kid smells like money then--
shitty dirty foul money to anyone with a nose.
This cannot be good for anyone--at all--it just can't be---think about it---don't try to drive faster when you pass one of these feedlots to get out of the stink because you are consuming this stench...and worse.....

The Republicans have managed to convince the brainless amoeba, which passes for the American public today, that unions and a living wage are bad for anyone including their neighbor...I must admit the Republicans did masterful job of spin, lies and understanding the American Single cell organism that now votes in Wisconsin. Republicans have managed to implant in the zombie like brain of Fox watching Americans that decent wages and retirements for public workers are the reason for the economic collapse--and not of course due to the Republican bailouts, thievery, stock market con games and the like all accomplished by the 1% that they represent so well...I have to admire the genius of this---after all, the Nazi's were the ones who said that a big lie is easier to put over than a small lie---

The Wisconsin recall election is a sample of what is to come...the ignorant led by the lies of the oppressors...They have turned Stupid white guy against stupid white guy...we will get only what we deserve....I completely understand how the guy below feels....this is my future as well.....

The new books is on knife fighting--Medieval and Renaissance Dagger Combat. I wished to study the background of European Knife fighting techniques and am starting the study with this volume on the background of the fighting knife in Europe..In just a few pages it has already reshaped my belief structure on Medieval fighting forms...

"I honestly don't know what i have in common with those people anymore...or with anyone, really. I mean, they'll all have husbands and wives and children and houses and dogs, and you know, they'll have made themselves a part of something, and they can talk about what they do. And what am I going to say? "I killed the President of Paraguay with a fork...How have you been? I just think it'll be depressing."

Pigeonhole Principle

Enough with the talk about Miami Zombies!

Updates on previous writings--the Theirs Vendetta knife is in, it is beautiful and deadly..the belt pouch I ordered for it surprisingly works perfectly (with a bit of stretching) I am very, very happy.

Although tempted to go, (as they said in the movie TropicThunder) Full Retard,   this very strange week at work, my mental defense protocols held---amazingly...

Today, Friday June 1st,  the stock market tanked again----and it will tank again and again and again---a house of cards populated by scoundrels, fakes, charlatans, criminals and con men....this is what has become of our national economy.

They took us from steel production to Facebook. From union jobs to minimum wage...From home owners to squatting under a bridge abutment. In our society, smoke a little weed and go to Jail---Rob the elderly of their life savings in the stock market--ride in a Limo...Europe's economy crashing will bring it all down...maybe then we will finally drag the 1% into the streets. Keep cash on hand---use a local only bank--take your money out of the stock market if you are a human being that works for a living. Build gardens now--not when you are hungry.

I've always hated PT--I was forced to do it for years by those square jawed, closeted, PT freaks in their two sizes too small shorts---Now I have been Scientifically proven correct----exercise isn't for everybody..Of course there are all kinds of whiny--- you should still exercise no matter what--- crap in the article--but the basic premise is that you don't live any longer if you exercise. The article reports that all the studies showing exercise is good for you are based on short term garbage studies...which is why all these Marathon runners and Athletes constantly fall over dead from heart attacks. Ha! Bite me PT dudes.

There are material things I now observe offered for sale that are just incredible to me. These types of items were Science Fiction when I was young, that are available now for purchase without raising an eyebrow---I lust after these items but know I would never be able to either afford or justify the purchase against that possible, one time use, that might save me...again as in a science fiction novel....
Take for example the below illustrated POC motorcross armor.  Which can even be worn under a T shirt....normally nothing but soft foam padding--but as soon as the padding senses a hard blow it stiffens and protects all of the occupants vital parts---how insanely cool---not overly expensive for this kind of science at $300.00 but still too expensive just to have for that one time an opponent tries to use a baseball on you...how incredible tho.......

I understand that I may be the only person in the world who looks at this motorcross armor and thinks about baseball bat protection....high level sociopath.

I also desire this item but for sure, it's unreasonably, unreachable--- money wise. A backpack portable ground surveillance radar system called the SPOTTER RF
Absolutely no-body, noooo-body, going to be sneaking up on a man with this thing set up and running. Costs are not mentioned, which of course is always a bad, bad sign.... Still one can admire the coolness of it from afar.

Damn Bob, one of the surest predictors of upcoming death is to get one of these Freedom medals from the White House or get honored at the Kennedy Center with one of their phony medals.  Being offered either of these awards is like getting kissed by a Leper with Ebola! This is one of the "let's grab him before he keels over" awards and accepting one is like having a 400 pound Jamaican nurse stand on your air hose at the hospital. Give it back Bob...I don't like the thought of the world without you....

I adore my Montague folding Paratrooper Mountain Bike--everything about it except for the seat...I just haven't been able to ride it because of the damn seat....I kept thinking that somehow my old ass would adapt to the issued seat....but no chance...I have finally broke down and ordered an old guy, big, wide load, gel cushioned seat... by Yosemite Bicycles, which i hope will work with both the bike and my ass! By next weekend the seat should be in, so my plans are to pull the Bike out, maintain it, and hopefully mount this new seat and peddle my comfortably cradled ass about the neighborhood.

The Plateau we have reached with peak oil will be full of hills and valleys until crashing along thru the undergrowth, we reach the precipice and still traveling blind as a society, tumble off...I did believe that by the date of writing this Americans would be paying an average of $5.00 per gallon.  It is coming.  This is a period of time similar to remission in a cancer victim--the disease is not active--but it has not gone away either. Sort of in Status, to steal science fiction movie terminology. Suspended.  This remission of gas prices does not invalidate Peak Oil at all, it displays how deep the economic pit that we have fallen into really is. This is just one of the valleys on the Peak Oil Plateau, nothing more, nothing less. On a Monday morning in the near future we will wake up to $5.00 gasoline. Count on it.

I recently had to replace two EDC items through no fault of their own. My own stupidity broke these two items, within the same month, each had become absolutely necessary within my EDC equipment...The above IMCO Austrian lighter...and the below illustrated ROTHCO combat glasses. Each item retails for $10.00 and are examples that viable, well designed personal equipment need not cost a fortune. I have restocked both items...
